The Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Bayasgalan Gungaa, participated online in the opening ceremony of the legal 2025 of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia on January 2, 2025.
The 2025 opening ceremony was opened by H.E. Mr. Suhartoyo Suryohadipranoto, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia. More than 200 people participated in that ceremony in the hall and online, including delegations of member countries of the Asian Association of the Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) and other distinguished guests.

During the 6th Congress of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC), H.E. Mr. Bayasgalan Gungaa, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia and H.E. Mrs. Elvira Azimova, Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the constitutional review bodies of the two countries. In this way, there will be an opportunity to exchange experience, develop and implement joint programs and measures, and study the constitutional law and practices between two countries to review the Constitution effectively.

The online meeting of the editorial board of the “Constitutional Law” journal of the Eurasian Association of Constitutional Control Bodies was held on June 20, 2024.
The participants of the meeting exchanged opinions on the contents and topics of the magazine’s regular issue project, as well as issues such as transfer to the publication.
Buyandelger.B, a member of the Journal Council, and Gantuya.D, a senior researcher at the Research Center of the Constitutional Court, participated in the online meeting.

Bayasgalan Gungaa was elected as the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia

The Plenary session of all Justices of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia was held on May 31, 2024 and the issue of electing the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court was discussed.
In accordance with the Article 6, Part 1 of the Law on the Constitutional Court of Mongolia that states “Justices of the Constitutional Court shall nominate from its composition a person (persons) for the post of a Chairman, discuss candidates at a Plenary session, and shall by secret vote elect a Chairman with a majority of the total number of votes.” the Justice of the Constitutional Court Mr. Bayasgalan Gungaa was elected as the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia.

H.E. Mr. Chinbat Namjil, the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, paid an official visit to the Supreme Court of the United States on September 11-12, 2023.
During the visit, the meeting between H.E. Mr. Chinbat Namjil, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, and H.E. Mr. John G. Roberts, Chief Justice of the United States, was successfully held on September 11, 2023, where parties discussed and exchanged views on issues of judicial justice, judicial independence, and the bilateral relations and cooperation.

The Constitutional Court of Mongolia is presiding over the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions in 2021-2023.

The objectives of the Association are to promote the protection of human rights, the guarantee of democracy, the implementation of rule of law, the independence of Constitutional courts and equivalent institutions, and the cooperation and exchange of experiences and information among members.
