Proposal for the virtual meeting

On October 29, 2021, the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia Mr. Chinbat Namjil received H.E. Chai Wenrui, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia. He expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China for its important role in enhancing the cooperation between the Constitutional Court of Mongolia and the National People’s Congress Constitution and Law Committee of PRC.

The Chief Justice also welcomed the proposal of Mr. Li Fei, Chairman of The National People’s Congress Constitution and Law Committee of PRC, to hold a virtual meeting in December this year. He noted that this meeting would be very important for developing the relations and cooperation between the two organizations, outlining the further forms of cooperation and increasing its effectiveness, and that he has no doubt in success of the meeting.

During the meeting, Mr. Chinbat Namjil also informed the Ambassador that the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the new Constitution of Mongolia and the establishment of the Constitutional Court will be celebrated next year and that Mongolia is presiding over the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) in 2021-2023.

The Ambassador praised the Constitutional Court of Mongolia for its important role in upholding the Constitution of Mongolia and building a law-abiding society in Mongolia, especially in political life.

He reaffirmed China’s commitment to further develop amicable relations and cooperation between the National People’s Congress Constitution and Law Committee of PRC and the Constitutional Court of Mongolia.
